Runner-up for The Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award in 2012, Eve Marie Power went on to win Waterford City’s Tyrone Guthrie Residency in 2013 and was named an Emerging Poet at The Cork Poetry Festival 2014.
A graduate of NUI Maynooth’s Certificate in Creative Writing for Publication, she has read at venues such as NUIM’s graduation ceremony and Waterford’s Winterval Festival. She was also short-listed for The Aeon Award, The James White Award, RTE’s Arena Flash Fiction Award and UCD’s MA in Creative Writing Poetry Competition, long with a stint as guest blogger for The Incubator literary journal.
Now living in Dublin, Eve Marie grew up along the most disputed border in the country, that of the Waterford/Kilkenny divide. She holds a First Class Honours Degree in History & Celtic Studies from NUI Maynooth. She is currently working on her first novel and poetry collection, and is a Professional Member of The Irish Writers Centre.
